Whilst I am typically not a big avatar user my suggestion would be for more karate orientated avitars.

After all this is a karate forum.

Better whip out the photoshop matt and start pumping out some nice looking new avatars

You can upload a custom avatar from your user control panel if you wish.
If you need a hand with this just let me know

I wouldn't mind a karate picture with my name.

If you give me some time to find one can you guide me to load it please Matt????

okay - avatars are no 1 on the to do list
in the interim please feel free to upload your own. There is a size restriction due to forum constraints, but go for it.

Hi everyone

Can someone help me out?

I want to use a gif file I have as my little symbol on the forum but I can't figure out how to upload it. I'm probably just being the tech goose that I am but there you go .

Any hints would be handy.

hey shadow

first of all you need to click on My Controls at the top of the screen.

then if you look about half way down the left of the screen there is a menu choice of Edit avatar settings click on that.

from there you have the choice to either enter one of the default avatars or upload your own.

you can upload your own by either entering the web address or by uploading it directly from your hdd using the browse button.

I did that Susan. Clicked on the browse button. Located the file on my desktop. clicked Ok. Then the button that says add this to my profile. I then get a message which says 'error..you cannot use this type of file" or something like that. I'm confused because it's just gif that I downloaded off the internet

It could be the picture is too big....If you tell me what size it is I will tweak the sttings a bit to allow it

how about you have a look for yourself.

Also, you can crop/resize your image using good old M$Paint (for windows users anyway), use GIMP if you're on the other side :thumbwink:
