Okay-o, I'm getting countless emails telling me that people are replying to topics I've also replied in. It says that "You can unsubscribe at any time by logging into your control panel and clicking on the "View Subscriptions" link."

I can't find the link to unsubscribe. Help meh!

in "My controls" (option for this is top right hand cornerish of the screen in bold) you will find a menu down the left hand side of the screen

subheadings of menu are messages then subscriptions

under the subheading of subscriptions you can click on "view forums"
you will find a llist of subscribed forums in there
you can add or remove forums to your liking in there...

I thought I had accidentally hit the button. I been getting them too.
For the record, i had to check subscribed topics as well as forums before it all stopped.

The "enable email replies to subscribed topics" has been enabled after last upgrade - its pretty much standard for most forums - lets you know if someones replied to a topic youve posted in.
You can turn it off in you "email settings" in "my controls" or I can do it for you....

Kay, all fixed. I never hit that button to begin with, so I don't know how it could have happened.

The last upgrade made it enabled by default

Nevermind, I don't seem to have done it. The emails are still coming in like crazy. An admin is gunna have to do this for me, as I have no skills, apparently, in this department.

Think you did what I did... went to the subscription options and ticked all the topics showing, then the unsubscribe button.

For anyone else who gets this, go to "My Controls", under "Options" click on "Email settings". Under "Board Preferences", UNTICK "Enable 'Email Notification' by default?"....
what a hassle.

Meh! I've looked again, and done as Noom has said, but it's already been unticked. I remember doing it. Maybe the emails I'm still getting are just late ones from before. >>
