Hi all,

A lot of faces in here that are starting to become familiar. smile.gif

I've been training with our two children since January this year. After a few months of wondering what I was doing, thinking this is sooo boring, something clicked & I've enjoyed the experiences immensley ever since.

Came across this site a while back, but came back yesterday after a post from another board linked thru to here. thumb.gif

Oh, training in the Launceston, Tasmania region too.

Cheers for now.

Tim.

ahhhr, grasshopper....

heh, nice.

The board's coding looks interesting too - good to see something besides vBB/uBB boards. smile.gif

Going to take a bit to be able to use all of it I think.
Susan
How you going Tim?

You might find some of the coding is a little 'unusual' right now
we're in the middle of a surprise upgrade.

But anyway
Welcome aboard

Tell me about it. I like IPB a lot but every upgrade seems to be a major code change - with any joy theyve got it together now and we kan keep the skins Jules has already redone twice rolleyes.gif
Final skins and files will be added shortly, hope you can stick around and be a part of the new forum smile.gif

Hey there Rusty - not too many other Tassies about these forums sad.gif That may change over the next few months.

Thanks for all the warm & welcoming words people - appreciated. smile.gif

Cheers.
Brodius
For the size of the state, I'd have thought 3 Tasmanian's was actually a lot. Anyway, who do you train with in Launceston? Sensei Rosie, Brian or Scott? They're the only 3 I like training with at all.

Sensei Scott took the very first class I went to, with sensei Brian helping.

After that first class I was amazed at the abilities of 'that old fella out the front' wink.gif

Since starting have done quite a few classes with both men, and get a lot out of their classes.

Have done a few classes with sensei Rosie, again Brian was helping. Her classes were a lot quieter, so to speak, than others, and still had quality instruction.

Most training lately is in classes by sensei Kelvin, a walking karateka dynamo!

As well as the seniors training with sensei Tony, when I can make it.

I get the idea you're based in Hobart?
Brodius
I originally trained for my first year of GKR in Launceston, as that was where I was living, but seeing as I'm studying in Hobart now, I train down here. Though, there are no sensei like sensei Brian down here, which sucks. I miss his classes...
