I just noticed I've lost my status as a deity and been reduced to a mere demi-god

Just wondering if old messages are archived or something to reduce the post count? Or the goalposts been shifted? Or does the message count have an expiry so's if you don't post for a while you gradually lower in status?

OK I feel better now I've had a little cry.
