I just returned to my Kung Fu Classes tonight with a Traditional Class (All Grades - All Techniques).
On re-enrolling in the club I finally paid my Black Sash Club Fees (a 3 year membership with bonuses).
I remembered from a lilttle while ago (before I was elligable for the BSC) there was a Zen Do Kai Instructor coming out to go through some of the tehniques from the style and to show us some weapons and forms etc.
These are some of the benefits of the BSC. Once a month we have a special class for those that are nominated to join. It might be that we learn advanced forms, forms from a different style of Kung Fu or have a visitor from a different club (such as Zen Do Kai) come in to show us some different things.
Those that are already a part of the BSC say how much more they enjoy learning Kung FU knowing what else is out there and the ideals behind them.
I can't wait for my first class and would be happy to share my experiences with you on other styles I encounter.

This is something I enjoy with my jujutsu club. Last year we had visits from various instructors, mostly in some way related to what they teach where I train.
Last year we had visits from Shihan Wayne Hanley (Kokoro-ryu) doing some jujutsu seminars. Anyone read Blitz? He writes a column each month. Also John Will (Machado BJJ). This year there's scheduled a visit by Raymond Floro who teaches knife-fighting.
Cool eh?

very cool mick. i like burridge they have a bjj class once a week with an instructor that teachs burridge instructors ( he is a full contact fighter so he knows his stuff). it costs extra because it isn't burridge martial arts but they let him into the dojo to teach there students, now i think that is cool :thumbwink:. and you don't need to join the bjj club you can just pay as you go per class got to get there.
