Martial Arts have become popular worldwide and many have introduced weapons practice as part of curriculums. In addition to oriental weapons, there has been resurgence in interest in medieval and western swordsmanship training as well.
One aspect of sword and edged weapons training that is gaining popularity is actual cutting of targets. The element of test cutting practice is posture and cutting a stationary target for the enjoyment of accuracy cutting or testing one’s sword?
By observing other arts and styles we have established a target cutting competition enabling people from different disciplines to compete together. We are using manufactured, uniformed cutting target which are made from expensive, recyclable material. There is little target preparation time and clean up is quick and easy. The competition is based on a combination of cuts to be performed on a single target and accuracy is judged by a referee.
