Full Version: Does anyone teach Naha-te anywhere anymore?

Not that I know of......... Naha-te was developed in the 18th century from chinese origins if memory serves me right. However on of its offshoots was Goju-Ryu and there's plenty of Goju styles around.

Just out of pure speculation, it would be interesting to see how it evolved into Goju....

Naha te is not a 'style' it was a name given to a group of schools to better define common attributes for acceptance of karate into the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai.

Schools with in this group are normally found within the Naha district of Okinawa, those being: Goju Ryu, To'on Ryu, Uechi Ryu, Kojo Ryu, Ryuei Ryu. and Other Okinawan styles containing some of these attributes are also Shito Ryu (although this is more Japanese), and Chito Ryu.
