Hi
I want to start training in martial arts, but i cant find any clubs NEAR where i live. I am happy to go to Trott Park, Sheidow Park, Hallet Cove, Rynella, does anyone know of any clubs near there? It doesnt matter what style i just want some options.
So far i Know of:
- Go Kan Ryu (I tryed this an and didnt like it)
- Golden Knights (tryed this and didnt like it)
- Diamond Tae Kwan Do/ Hapkido (tryed this and didnt like it)
- World Tae Kwan Do (these guys are really really dodgey i am suprised noone has reported them to the ACCC)
- Judo - JudoSA (they only teach kids)
I did like doing Tae Kwan do and Karate I just didnt like some of the students in the classes where i was training.
Any help would be good.
Regards
Kindred

Hello
Tatakai Martial Arts Academy is located at 29 Shepherd Road Christies Beach.
Tatakai Martial Arts is a freestyle Tae Kwon Do based mixed martial art and has been since the late 1970's. This mixed martial art is the oldest that I am aware of, thus meaning their style and applications are well refined.
You can expect to learn how to defend yourself at a distance through the use of general sparring and kick techniques as well as when in confined or crowded situations with striking techniques that utilise relaxed muscles to gain speed and consequently power. Tatakai’s use of joint locking techniques, throws and sweeping takedowns make it a very comprehensive martial art and beneficial to anyone wishing to learn how to defend themselves at every conceivable level of a conflict including grappling and general ground work.
Regular Classes
Adults:: Mondays and Thursdays 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Children:: Mon. & Thursdays 5pm to 6:30 pm
