Hello, many years ago I trained in melbourne with Takasaka sensei but have been living overseas for a long time now. Does anyone know if he is still teaching? I can't seem to find him anywhere, or even a telephone number for him. He was (and is, hopefully) a wonderful teacher and I would like to know how he's going. Any news would be warmly appreciated.

I've tried searching, but i'm afraid i've drawn a blank. However we do have a few Melbourne-based members here, so hopefully they'll be able to come with something. I'll keep looking though.

I'm mildly surprised he seems to have disappeared- he was quite a big name and was also running the Monash Uni karate club - a mystery! Thank you for taking the trouble to try to find out - its much appreciated.

Keishin-Kan is still active in NSW (Sydney) from memory. They are members of the AKF and NSWKF (although not listed on their website). Maybe contact the NSWKF http://www.akf-nsw.com/ and they can help you

I've sent an email to Takazawa O'Sensei and a few of the Yudansha in Okaya city, Japan and to Tatsuo Sekiguchi in Australia. Sensei Uchida is still teaching in Australia.

I just know about Takasaka-sensei that he was already quit KeiShinKan maybe 2005.
He was attend 45th Keishinkan-Tournament with two-son in Japan and he was demonstration Kata also Yamazaki sensei too.
After Demo he was talking Takazawa-sensei......

Sensei Takasaka is no longer training in Kei Shin Kan Karate do. He has broken off to form his own style,
Koryo Karate do. I dare say it is very similar to his former style,but not 100% sure
