If anyone local is interested, we are holding an arnis grading on Sat, 30th Aug from 1 pm, at Sozokan Academy, 3-4/1830 Albany Hwy, Maddington.

How did the grading go?

It went well cept for now I have to break one student for slapping me mid-grading... It was a yellow sash grading, and they all passed, and now they're all busy working with those looking at doing higher sash gradings in a couple of weeks.

Excellent! But what did you get a wallop for? Was it just a case of poor coordination?

Or was it because you deserved it?

It was cos I have some very cheeky students who enjoy being beaten to a bloody pulp for slapping their instructor!

Oh yes, definitely! He'll have to spar me for my grading - I'll just make sure I'm using live canes for that session!

I won't try to coerce you into training with us - I'm not sure arnis would really be your kinda style anyhow. But it is my kinda style and tis always nice to be able to show off the things you are passionate about to your friends.
