[COLOR=green]Brodius - I like your signature tag so much, it has become part of my preparation during bow-in. I even think it might help... maybe! smile.gif I hate sparring, and I am trying to make myself I can spar as though I am made of water - I'll let you know if I ever get there! I hope it works, but at least I can rest assured it can't make me worse.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of the Bruce Lee philosophy, and the "Be water, my friend" is no exception. Some senseis actually talk along the lines of this idea when they go on about being relaxed before the strike, and then tensing up on impact.

Though, one thign going around at the moment is " be water, be water, be a rock..." Why did they make it a rock? Water can easily smash apart something like a rock pretty easily. Water is probably the most variant and powerful thing in the world.

But I'm with you on the whole hating sparring. I'm not a big fan of it, but I'm gradually moving away from begrudgingly sparring to liking it just a little.
