You're most welcome
We do realize there are some strange issues with other browsers right now...

..Sorry for any inconvenience and damage to your eyes B) this may cause

It looks fine in IE...but with Mozilla, it's all...backwards
We're hoping Matt can use his special powers and fix that

A little different? It's all... pink and sherbet-like. Mmm... I haven't had sherbet in so long. You know, the kind where you got a stick to eat it off, and then you could eat the stick afterwards...
Ninja smilie!!

But... it doesn't look that bad. It kinda grows on you, sorta.
Hi Jules. I don't think I've met you before. *Shrug*

I must be honest and say that I do not like the new colour much at all.
If your trying to get the red that GKR uses then you may want the colour code of #DA1327 instead of #C70444
GKR Red is
R=218
G=19
B=39
S=214
H=250
L=119
HTML CODE #DA1327
Unless you go by the large GKR banner on the official website which is
R=255
G=0
B=0
S=255
H=255
L=218
HTML CODE #FF0000
Keep the changes coming and I am sure the feedback will keep coming also

lol - no - we're not trying for the gkr red, meant to be more of a burgundy...thanks - I have a code chart also

As I said its a work in progress - and we just stopped for lunch....
The "red" looks a little pinker than it should be on some browsers
Matt
Oct 26 2003, 07:11 PM
Hmmm - is anyone else seeing the posts on a red background?
They were black on white this morning....
Matt
Oct 26 2003, 07:22 PM
ewwwww - some of these schemes are gross.....sorry for those who lived thru them just now
Mind you if you've seen my fashion sense youd know I'm the last person who should be picking colours

Okies - thisll take some time....with work, home and all this karate doesnt leave much time for playing.....
What Id ask you guys is to tell us where it doesnt work....for instance I know that in the private message section you cant read the message titles. Also now we know the red looks pink on some browsers (not a good look) - if you can send that sort of stuff with any luck we can shortly get a scheme we all like.
Thanks for your patience

FWIW...
I'm using Win2K....
with Mozilla Firebird I have posts on red/black text

With IE6 I have posts on white/black text (which was the intended result..and when you view code it says it should be white/black)
We'll get the kinks worked out

Just be patient

and have your sunglasses handy B)

The Go-Kan-Ryu looks good at the top. You should put the japanese kanji underneath it. Or not. Just an idea.

not to be a pain as it DOES look great...
and i DO know that it is still under construction...
...BUT....
the forum isn't centred properly. there is a scroll bar (only a little one) at the bottom of the screen...
i only mention it because it was mentioned about my wgv webpage that i created.oh...
and the "close all tags" option has disappeared too

I'm not sure what happened with the placement of the forums on the page..I didn't move anything....but I have an idea or 2 that I'll work on today (I'm home with a sick child).
As for the "close all tags" link...it's there...but because links are white...well it disapears into the background...I'll work on that too.
Susan, was your signature white as well?
Brodius, we'll see what Matt says about the japanese kanji. It may be over kill.
Susan
Oct 27 2003, 11:56 PM
no it wasnt white...
BUT...
Matts sig is missing too and both of them were......links
which you just said are all white
so it IS there you just can't see it

and if you mouse over it, it goes grey

so does 'close all tags'

sorry...

I'll have to see if I can figure out some way to code it as....

hiya Jules
would you consider lightening the dark gray a little or change the text colour? I'm unable to read the black text - check out the 'last posts' area when replying to a thread to see what I mean, but its also visible (or not LOL) on the front forum page..btw, NO is an acceptable answer as always
Jules
Oct 28 2003, 09:05 PM
Good morning Les,
The base colors are Matt's department...but I have lightened the text.
Is that better?

WOW!!!
Jules. Did you do this all by yourself?
It looks great.
Judging from the club banner at the top of the page could I assume that these are the clubs colours?
They look really good together.
I do think though, that the blue clashes badly and some new pictures and buttons will be needed.
Great job Jules.
Matt
Nov 9 2003, 10:30 AM
yes - buttons are my responsibility.
I blame lack of time and extreme idlness

on to it
Les
Nov 10 2003, 08:13 PM
what? you have not finished the buttons yet Matt?
are you trying to convince us you have a life away from the PC :thumbwink:
