Susan
Hi all...

I was just looking around on yellowpages.com.au for martial arts schools in the perth area.
Now what I found was kind of interesting. 5 years ago when looking for somewhere to train or to cross train with karate training i found it hard to find a school anywhere. Luckily this meant finding a good quality school with a great reputation was fairly easy with little running around. Now what i fiind is more than ten pages of listings. From sozakan to combat sports and fitness, and mixed martial arts to submission.

How is anyone to find a good school without having to run all around perth visiting more than 50 schools?

And how does one choose a style that would be right for them when the websites linked to the yellow pages all tend to say "this style is right for you"?

It depends on what you are looking for. ie. Karate, MMA, Taekwondo, etc..

For karate there is a quick and good guide here:

Come visit Sozokan! smile.gif
It does depend what you are looking to do though and what is right for you. If you can give me a call I can give you some direction as we have contact numbers for pretty much every club in Perth.

Everyone is being so helpful, so I may as well join in, too:
Here is a link to my club's website, the link takes you to a page that will prompt you to ask questions of any given club to see if it is right for you.

I hope you find what you are looking for very soon, Susan. Let us know what you find.
