SO????

It's that time of the year again.

What is everyone doing for Christmas this year?
Is anyone going away for Christmas?
What kinds of traditions do you and your families have for Christmas?

Not much happens around my family.

This year I will be taking over from my mums traditional breakfast cook up bbq with my dad and brothers.
Then the usual big lunch at the sisters place.

The evening is usually spent moaning about how fat we all feel while filling our blood cells with alcohol.

Boxing day is the big all in family bbq down the park.

Other than that not much else as I fly back to work the next day where holidays and celebrations don't exist. sad.gif

Another year watching my father drink himself into an idiot....course I'd never do that whistle.gif

Matt, I`m not one to judge smile.gif but I believe your old man reached that state years ago!

What shall I be doing for chrimble........

Working night shift untill friday morning (always fun......) then dont go back to work until the night of the 2nd...

I would normally be entering into the christmas swing of things, but since i`ve just paid my Emigration Visa bill (over AS3000!!), money will be a little tight - plus the fact that in liue of all the overtime i`ve been doing, ive bought myself a nice toy to drive around in until I go smile.gif (pics soonish!)

I shall be seeing the family christmas day, but other then that...not alot........

Right, i`m going to write some christmas cards.....wheres the brandy Up_to_something.gif

Well we are having our Christmas on Sunday 23rd this year, as both my brothers live in the country and are going to their inlaws this year.

So its going to be a quiet Christmas at our place with no kids around this year sad.gif

However not really in the festive spirit this year, be lucky to get through this week at work without killing someone, hate my job. Then you try and do nice things for people, like give them a free invitation to a work Christmas party, and they respond by saying "oh no I would rather work" What is wrong with these people?

Rant over, looks like my local bottle-o will be making a mint out of me this year!

At least I have a trip to a nice freezing cold country to look forward to in January. Might even get to see snow for the first time cold.gif

Having grown up in Europe I’m still not used to having a warm Christmas. Its not the same without the cold and dark. I will be getting up late, have a coffee with “something” other then milk and sugar, or even 2. Then open a few boxes and pretend I’m surprised. Watch the rest of the family open their boxes and pretend to be surprised. Then I play with my new toys for a while. Then watch the family play with their new toys/gadgets. When it starts to get to hot in the house, because the missus is insisting as always the have 2 ovens on full, to cook a turkey big enough to feed a small country for a month, I sit outside for a while and see how long a six pack of coldies lasts. Then it’s back inside to eat the turkey, and help it down with a glass of wine or 2. Now that all the years training and bodybuilding has been undone, let’s have some Christmas pudd with lots of cream and brandy. Feeling a bit lethargic by then, I will try and keep myself amused by doing the dishes. The old fashioned way, there is no electric dishwasher in my house. After that huge burst of energy I have a sit down with my best mate, Johnny Walker and discuss the meaning of Christmas in a commercialised world. With a bit of luck I will miss the PM’s and the Queens speech. One day I will ruin his and her Christmas by doing the same to them. Then it’s time for tea. “How about a bit of turkey with some salad” I get asked, and I will eat it like the good boy I am. If I’m lucky it will be a bit cooler outside (forecast is 36c’s) my mate and I will continue the discussion about Christmas outside. When it’s really dark (no thanks to daylight saving ) I might watch some tv to help me go to sleep after a busy day, only to be repeated on boxing day, most likely at someone’s else’s house. I can’t wait to go back to training in January, to prepare myself for the Christmas season next year.

Seasons greeting to all

Christmas... one of the days of the year you have to spend with family instead of people you like... rolleyes.gif

Going to one of my Aunt's for lunch with whomever else from the family shows up. The funny thing is, last year there were a couple of people away overseas and it made all the difference. Christmas dinner was enjoyed by all instead of having to listen to various opinions on this and that.

Just found out from SWMBO that her family is coming here for xmas dinner. It'd be nice to be asked some things first. I think it's not my house, I just live here. Though most of them probably won't show up.

Looking on the bright side.. in a week it'll be over. tongue.gif

OOOH careful Mick...

Though it's not something that bothers me you may wish to refrain from using the term SWMBO in public as it could be seen as offensive to some girls. Best you keep terms like that amongst the men folk.

Yes... be careful not to let Moya catch you calling her that... even though we all do somehow some dont see the funny side lol.gif
