I can tell you exactly who these people are. The link is working for me.

The BB performing Tensho is Sensei Paul Abraham, who is a big man and one of the most graceful karateka I have ever seen.

He is being hit by Sensei Gordon (last name I cannot spell). Also an awesome karateka.

Sensei Paul is proof that anybody of any size can perform some of the more complex Kata out there, including of the jumps etc. He is tough and demanding, but if you work hard in his class you will be rewarded.

He is not an instructor for the kiddies though as he is a bit scary.
GojuSeishinseii
This type of tameshiwari is popular with kiyoshide shinjo of uechi ryu. Usually done in sanchin kata. Mr Shinjo has conditioned his body remarkably.

here is an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWfXX5aQhjc

Although IMHO, tensho should not be performed this way. Tensho and Sanchin of Goju Ryu are like the Yin and Yang of china. They are opposites, but complement each other. Tensho should be performed relaxed (soft of Goju Ryu) and Sanchin performed tense (hard of goju ryu). This performance of Tensho is similar to Sanchin, just a different embusen (kata pattern). However many mainstream Goju Ryu schools also perform Tensho this way, including Jundokan and derived schools.

I am mearly expressing my opinion and mean no disrespect to the people in the video.
