I know that he was after Fedor who has now signed with M1. In some of the less flattering reports like Sherdog there was talk about him having issues with the management of UFC and about how much they are being paid. So I don't think it's totally unexpected.

What I didn't see coming was his role in the new Scorpion King movie...
