Well, old Randy worked out Gonzage didn't he? Tie him up, make space and hit him, tie him up again etc etc..... How much of the win was down to the fortuitous head butt that splattered Gonzage's nose though? I guess we'll never know. Personally, from what I saw, I think the outcome may well have been the same, but a round or so later. Breathing that much blood has to sap your energy.

Good to see GSP give Josh 'Fish Lips' Koscheck a lesson in controlling a fight. And I notice Frank Mir back on the comeback trail with a submission win in the first round. If he, Couture, Arlovski and Sylvia are all firing, the heavyweight division is going to see a few fireworks.

Must say, I thought it was one of the best UFC I've watched.

I loved the Couture fight, he's in such good shape and his strategy was great. There are plenty of discussions out there saying it should be ruled 'no contest' and the referee was totally biased because he took a point of him without warning wacko.gif whadevva! I think the nose break was an accident, if very covenient for Randy. Gonzaga has immense power in both punches and kicks and it's rummored he broke Randy's arm when he blocked one of those kicks. But no doubt Randy had the better game plan and execution, he got into his head and there was no chance Gonzaga would have won with the nose intact either. And what was that "I can't breath?" break about?!

But then again, I'd love to see them fight again and I think Gonzaga has more to show us. Let's face it tho, his knock out against Cro Cop was a lucky shot and I don't think he was ready for a shot at the title.

Now my favourite... GSP ... *swoons* What a fabulous fighter!! I loved the way he went against all expectations and slammed Kosh to the floor straight away. Kosh is a very experienced groundfighter and it shows how much skill GSP has to keep him on the floor and controlled. And that choke was just "that" *shows tiny space between thumb and finger* far off.

I also liked the way Huerta used the big screen to check the position of Crane, who was rather helplessly clinging to his back. He checked Crane's head position using the cameras and then blasted him with elbow shots. Genius! laugh.gif

When's the next one?

OMFG this forum has a MMA section now!?

Liked the GSP vs. Kosh fight. You were right BG, Kosh just kept escaping those armlocks.
