Hi guys, long time no see, how is everybody? I was just checking my emails and there was topic reply from the forum, the first one I have had in ages. So I hopped on to have a look and have realised how much I have missed out on in the last couple of months. Anyway I thought I would let you guys know that Tino Ceberano Hanshi will be in Perth in December, He will be running 2 seminars, one on Saturday the 16th and another on the Sunday the 17th of December.

On Saturday it will be a karate seminar open to all styles and the cost is $65 and Sunday will be on the Phillipino weapon known as the dolo dolo this one is $50 although you will get a $20 discount if you attend both seminars.All dolo dolos will be supplied as you cannot exactly buy these from your local martial arts supplier.

These will be good seminars as we are expecting them to be small ones because of the short notice and the fact that xmas is around the corner. If anyone is interested just let me know, times are not confirmed yet but they will be tomorow.

Thanks for that rocket. I`m afraid I won`t be able to go, as I`ll be back in the UK by then (visa runs out) but I`m sure others here will go.

Is the Dolo dolo seminar open to all grades/styles? or are you expected to have some knowledge of weapons kata?

No weapons experience is necessary, but he would prefer that you are at least say a green belt in some karate style so that you are not a raw beginner.

Most of the moves with the dolo dolo are similar to karate moves, mainly the blocks.

I didnt know you were over here mate, when do you go back? Are you training at Micks dojo? If you are I will come down nest week and we can all do some training together.

Yes, im around for the next two weeks ( go back 1st dec. ) So am happily training with mick, would be good to meet you.

My adult classes are on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7pm through to 8:30pm. Everyone is welcome any time, let me know when you are coming and I will make sure I get all my students to come down for it, and I will plan something different for it.

I know I'm going to be sorry, but I won't be able to make either one I had been looking forward to the dolo dolo one!

Hi Guys, just a quick message to say that the Tino Hanshi seminars on the weekend were the best ones I have attended to date, they were awesome. It was a huge weekend of training for me, doing no less than six sessions with Hanshi, I was pretty sore yesterday. Once again I was blown away by this mans knowledge and skill and once again I feel like a white belt.
