Full Version: New class
As part of Matt`s adventures in the UK, I decided to take him on a trip up to Headingley to train with Mike and his students.
I`m so glad I did, For a start Mike is a nice chap - and certainly not afraid to meet a couple of complete strangers for a pre-dojo coffee! Mike doesn`t teach anything showy or flashy, everything is done for a reason, for the same reason he doesn`t teach high kicks.
It`s a fairly physical class, although that was probably down to my poor level of fitness rather than anything else!
In my opinion, it`s one of the best karate classes I`ve been to - although no-one knows really except the students. It`s a bit too far to train there every week, although I`m going to see if i can get there every few weeks or so.
Folks, I know this sounds like a plug, but if you ever find yourselves in the Leeds area, drop into a class, it`s certainly worth it.

Thanks for the recommendation. Just to re-iterate for everyone else's benefit, anyone's welcome to pop in to any training session - if you're just passing through or live in the area I'm always happy to see a new face (and of course there is no charge for the the first lesson).
