Anyone remember Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow? Especially with Ronnie Dio on vocals...
If not, and if you like good quality metal music then check out Stargazer What a fantastic song.

Also, Turn by Therapyż... brilliant stuff.
Tom
Rainbow? Now we`re talking!
Therapy? are vastly underrrated... Check out the CD "TroubleGum" it truly is the missing link between indie angst and metal....
The tune "unrequited" is harrowing stuff, but a good song - why, I cant quite explain!

Can't find any Therapy... but who needs it?

Speaking of Mr Dio, I downloaded Heaven & Hell by Black Sabbath. That little guy has one hell of a fantastic voice. He was the best singer Rainbow and Black Sabbath ever had.

Other brilliant voices to listen out for; James Hetfield of Metallica. Dont know her name but her from Within Temptation and Amy Lee of Evanesance
Matt
Chop Suey by System of a Down. Fantastic song from one of the most innovative and original bands you could ever come across. A welcome break from the mindless R&B crap foisted on us.

"Dear God' by XTC is a great one to drag out when Im feeling all 'FTW' too wink.gif.
Jules
Faith Hill - Stronger
Sugarland - I will stand back up
kd lang - The consequences of falling
Martina McBride- She's a Butterfly
Megan Slankard - I hoped you would
Rascal Flats- Bless the broken road
Aimee Manns - Save me
Allison Krauss---most anything..I just like to listen to her.
Sheryl Crow- I'm gonna soak up the sun
Chantal Kreviazuk - Feels like home

...I'm sure I've given more than enough fodder to those who will take pleasure in making fun of me for that ;

Anything by Queen, Def Leppard or Clannad I love.

I also love Sade.

I quite enjoy doing Kata to music. Must be my ballet coming back to haunt me. I know I get told off a lot for making my Kata look like Ballet Moves. blink.gif and for having my legs and feet turning the wrong way. Hard to retrain yourself after doing 20 years of it. unsure.gif

Ok, cast your minds back to the good old days of Use Your Illusion by Guns 'n' Roses. The time that was released was also the time a British metal magazine (cant remember if it was Metal Hammer or Kerrang) gave away a free audio casset on the cover. It had a song on it by a band called WWIII the song was called Love You To Death. I cant find that song anywhere and I cant find any mention of WWIII as a band... Anyone else know of this song???
Tom
Coulda been Kerrang tho i`m thinking it might`ve been Raw..
I know Type O Negative did a song of that name ( and so did The Soup Dragons smile.gif and The Juliana Theory (Who?) and TurboNegro - Now theres a band and a half! )
But I`ve not got anything by WWIII....... Time to fire up the search engines I think!
Matt might have an idea though...

And Jane? If you like Clannad, check out a group called the AfroCelt Sound System... You may like them...
Emma

Never heard of it smile.gif but found a link that proves the existence of THE BAND WWIII if that helps.

A favourite song addition: "Going Home" - Dire Straits

At the risk of showing my age, can't help but sing along with Van Morrison "Brown Eyed Girl". At the other end of the spectrum AC/DC "All Night Long" gets me singing. More modern I really like " My Immortal" Evanescence, I think I shocked my 19 year old daughter when I bought it home and flashed up the "phonogram" LOUD.

"Angels" by Robbie Williams

Has a huge significance for me.
