Dear members and lurkers,

Most wont be aware of this.

Forum admin Jules was diagnosed with stage II invasive breast cancer in June last year. Jules is responsible for all the design and fine tuning here, and her efforts have been greatly appreciated. Such is her nature and enthusiasm for life she completely reskinned the entire forum whilst recovering from the effects of chemotherapy. She is currently undergoing radiation treatment.

Jules and her son are participating in a fundraising walk to raise money for cancer research. If you wish to help any donations would be greatly appreciated.

100% of money raised go directly to the cause, with a lot of it helping Jules directly by going to her treatment facilities. Regardless, any research benefits us all. Please be aware the amount is in US dollars.

Thanks
Sionnagh

I was wondering how this was going....
jules? matt? has there been a good response at all???

I'd also like to point out that over here in OZ this month it is Breast Aware Month... If you are finding it dificult to send a donation through pay pal drop into any boost juice bar, National australia bank or any service station and buy yourself a key ring or arm band to assist in the research of breast cancer in australia specifically.

Think about your mothers, grand mothers, aunties, sisters, wives, girlfriends, daughters or nieces...... or... yourself... one day you may be in a position to require services like these.

I raised $1290 and got an award for being among the top 10 individual fundraisers at the race last Saturday smile.gif The event over all raised over $230K! smile.gif I completed the walk in just over 52 minutes..which isn't totally accurate, because the clock started when the runners started and we didn't go until they'd all gone. There were close to 500 runners and 3500 walkers. The whole day was awesome and I'm looking forward to doing it again next year.

Thank you to everyone who made a donation and have sent good thoughts smile.gif
