I need to buy the usual safety gear for sparring and would like to get a punching/kick bag any recommendations as to the best place to buy and what sort of prices will I be expected to pay? I am in the Fremantle area.

Giri in Cannington have all that gear.
Price depends of course on quality!
Kick bags expect to pay from $50-80.
Focus mitts are about $35 a pair.

A lot of martial arts clubs double as a store as well.

If you check out the white/yellow pages (esp on the net) they have listings under martial arts school as well as martial arts supplies.

Might be worth it to check it out.

I buy stuff from giri's from time to time, cos they're handy to where i live. They have a good range.

Reminds me, I have to chase up about chest protectors for women and go see them about it. Last time I was down there the range was a bit limited...

I managed to get most of the gear I needed from Giris except the mits ,they have them on order and I have been waiting nearly two weeks if they don't arrive by tuesday I will have to look elsewhere as I need them for sparring.
