Well it is over here anyway

Merry Christmas anyway to everybody, what did ya get!?! Not allowed to open our pressies yet, the mother figure has spoken, we have to wait until dinner this evening. But don't worry, we usually wear her down by lunch time!

Merry Christmas everyone!
Bummer about your pressies, though.
We've trained the spawn to not get up before 7am so we can all open them at the same time...
(The term "spawn" is used in the nicest possible way, of course).

Merry Christmas!!
Oh the joy of Christmas having a four year old in the house.... means no sleep in and having to get up at 6am to a hyperactive child....

or...
Dear friends,
Best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, stress free, non-addictive, gender neutral, summer solstice holiday, practiced within the most joyous traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, but with respect for the religious persuasion of others who choose to practice their own religion as well as those who choose not to practice a religion at all;
plus
a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions have helped make our society great, without regard to the race, creed, colour, religious, or sexual preferences of the wishes.
(Disclaimer:
This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.)
