Could you let us non MMA people know if it is appropriate for novices to that particular style or will some degree of prior training be preferable?

Typically speaking any martial artist should be able to follow 99.9% of MMA techniques, as they are already accustomed to timing, distance, positioning, movement, control etc etc all the basic elements of combat.

The seminars will be taught to all levels, although if we were suddenly inundated with 35 or more novices I would probably set up another workshop just for them focussing solely on basics..
