I'm pleased to announce that from the beginning of October my club will be running a second night's training each week. So we'll now be training Tuesdays and Thursdays - details on my website, see the link in my signature.

Anyone interested in popping in to see what we do, please feel free to do so free of charge.

Mike

As part of Matt`s adventures in the UK, I decided to take him on a trip up to Headingley to train with Mike and his students.

I`m so glad I did, For a start Mike is a nice chap - and certainly not afraid to meet a couple of complete strangers for a pre-dojo coffee! Mike doesn`t teach anything showy or flashy, everything is done for a reason, for the same reason he doesn`t teach high kicks.
It`s a fairly physical class, although that was probably down to my poor level of fitness rather than anything else!

In my opinion, it`s one of the best karate classes I`ve been to - although no-one knows really except the students. It`s a bit too far to train there every week, although I`m going to see if i can get there every few weeks or so.

Folks, I know this sounds like a plug, but if you ever find yourselves in the Leeds area, drop into a class, it`s certainly worth it.

The pleasure was mine, but I'm glad you enjoyed it too. You are, of course, welcome to come up and train any time.

Thanks for the recommendation. Just to re-iterate for everyone else's benefit, anyone's welcome to pop in to any training session - if you're just passing through or live in the area I'm always happy to see a new face (and of course there is no charge for the the first lesson).
